Oh Great! Now All That Work For Nothing!
I got an email today from someone who experienced that feeling. I thought I’d share my answer, not because I’m proud and vain, but because the answer is something to consider. Of course it applies to Travian, but I’m sure you could stretch my answer to other topics as well.
Question: What is the most frustrating thing about Travian that you are experiencing?

The fact that a powerful alliance tried to raid a few of our members, got nothing so to show their disappointment, they swore to level us, and the cats have now started landing, what a waste of weeks/months of my time and money.

Hey Chris,
You’re looking at it from the wrong angle. Don’t worry, I thought the same way when I started playing, because the same thing happened. Some players let their egos get the best of them, unfortunately.
Try to think about everything you have learned over the last few months: Team playing with your alliance, managing your account, war strategies, etc. Remember also the thrill and joy you get from the game. Some of these skills you have developed are so good I’d almost think of them as Resume – worthy. Yes. Definitely.
It’s the journey that is the reward, not the end result. If playing Travian really makes you happy then read more, play more, and become a top player so that you can have joy in player and be good at it.
Okay, that’s probably the longest message I’ve written to someone. But you get the idea, don’t give up. Even if they cream you in the server you’re playing, you will rise up to the challenge again and keep trying until you succeed (and it really isn’t that hard).
